so for my use case (casual gaming and i dont use ray tracing) Amd is a no brainer over Nvidia. amd gpus are generally cheaper and had more vram than the nvidia counterparts such as the rtx 3080 which has 10gb vram but costs around $800, 3080ti which has 12gb vram for about $1k, 4070.ti super which has 16gb vram for about $820. the 7800xt has 16gb vram and costs around $520. with newer games like indiana jones requiring higher amounts of vram getting something like the 7800xt or even 7900xt or xtx (if you have the extra money) is a good way to future proof..
