I love this train

This train works great. It takes about 5-10 minutes for it to start "smoking" after you add water and turn on the switch on the engine; then it works great. I turn the engine on and then let it set until the steam starts, and then start it withe the remote. The remote works great, and the sounds are great. You can start the sound with the remote while the train is running, but to turn the sound off you have to stop the train. It would be nice if stop the sound without stopping the train. The track could use a better method of connecting, it is designed for a flat surface, but with a little effort (making sure the tracks are even with each other at the connections) it will work on top of a tree skirt. Those are the only faults I can find withe the train set. Would have added photo of train steaming, but this review site doesn't like my photo.

We wanted a train for around the tree but didn't want to spend a lot of money because we anticipated our 2 year old playing with it. This train has endured several hundred derailments by my son and it is still going impressively strong. It rides nicely off the tracks as well! The steam is pretty impressive it works immediately and lasts a while and looks real! We have really enjoyed this.
