This book documents the disappearances of at least ten young girls—all students, with their futures ahead of them—in the area of Ecatepec and Los Reyes Tecámac, in the State of Mexico. Lydiette Carrión narrates the parents’ dizzying odyssey to find their daughters, the precariousness of the investigations, conducted by a labyrinthine, corrupt, criminal, and highly inefficient police system, and the stigmatization the victims suffer even in death.
 
This updated edition includes new chapters that not only add to what we know about the cases, but tell of the capture and confession of Juan Carlos and Patricia in 2018, both connected to several murders of young women.
