PROTECH 5 in 1 Superior Sound, Thermal & Vapor barrier, Odorless, Acoustic, 3mm Underlayment is a Superior Grade, IXPE based foam with Superior Aluminum Coating, and the self-sealing lip and tape system. PROTECH Superior Sound, Thermal & Vapor barrier (Golden) Underlayment is Superior product for all laminate, bamboo, SPC (Stone Plastic Composite), WPC (Wood Plastic Composite), engineered and solid hardwood floor installation for which underlay is recommended, and can be used in both residential and commercial applications.

Superior product for most floor installation for which underlay is recommended: 1. Laminate, Bamboo, Engineered and Hardwood floor: 8 mm or + thickness without attached underlay or with 1 mm underlay
2. SPC, EVP, Rigid Core: 4 mm without attached underlay; 4.5 mm or + without underlay or with 1 mm underlay
3. WPC: 6 mm without attached underlay; 6.5 mm or + without underlay or with 1 mm underlay


Easy installation: self-sealing lip and tape system makes installation easy, straight forward, and secure

Sub-floor: this product may be installed on top of any subfloor, including concrete, plywood, laminate, vinyl, engineered or solid hardwood, or ceramic/porcelain tile, hides all minor sub-floor imperfections, allows minimum preparation for most sub-floor, and can be installed on grade, below grade or above grade
Superior Sound insulation eco-friendly IXPE based foam material: This most expensive underlayment material provides the best sound insulation in all foam type underlays. IIC 73 , STD 71. 1. Subfloor needs to be solid and strong enough to support the flooring. Do not lay this product over carpet
2. Do not use this product under some kinds of cheap or not durable vinyl floors (peel N stick, vinyl sheet, 2-5 mm PVC glue down or click, <4.5mm SPC or EVP, <6.5mm WPC), <8mm Laminate, cork floor or floor with cork underlay, or floor with underlay. The above mentioned products have the risks of locking area broken (locking area will not be strong enough if products are too thin), or water / moisture / mold damages on cork (cork is water resistant, but not waterproof, though our product is waterproof)
