Only had it a month, but so far it works perfectly. I use it at work, and I keep a thermometer in mine to make sure it stays below 41 degrees. Have it set on 2 and it keeps a steady 40 degrees. The freezer is not really a freezer - it will keep things frozen for a short time, but it barely drops to 32 degrees. Things will slightly thaw up there. But I bought it for the fridge part and I am very pleased with that! I also like that the second shelf is in two parts, so I can put the front half on top of the back half and I can get my gallons of bottled water in there. As for longevity, I can not speak. But I always buy the protection plan on electronics because there is always the possibility of defect. So overall I am very pleased with my purchase!

Even for a great price this can be handy for if your doing a remodel of your kitchen and dont have a tone of space else where unless you set this on the end table in the living room. This can help with seperating the adult drinks from the proper drinks for the kids. Not only its small enough for dorms, bedrooms and offices. But this can be a great item to help the kids learn how to put groceries away if you use this for the kids snacks and drinks. I like it because its light and can have a creative placemet of where it could be at. The door(s) can be reversed for some cases if either side is against the wall(s).
