Better than the original (Sequel)

Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria is actually the prequel to the 2000 Playstation hit "Valkyrie Profile". The game may take 30-45 mins to get used to for some as the battle system is quite unique from any other RPG. Everything about this game is brilliant, to its complexant story, fantastic music brought to you by Motoi Sakuraba (Tales of, Star Ocean) Series. The characters are truly alive and each posess interesting skills and abilites. This is really one RPG where you don't really have to grind if your really smart and play intelligently. The main story may take you about 40-50 hours but if you want the whole experience and require everything you come across, it may take you well over 100 hours. I highly recommend this game to all.

good game

i got this game after playing the ever infamous kingdom hearts and the rpg in kingdom hearts is very well done. to top such a game is hard since you are spoiled with the action and the storyline of kingdom hearts, but valkyrie comes close. It has a lot of talking and story describing, but the rpg is put together well, SO much better than frustrating final fantasy X. so, if you need a game with a fantasy story in it, valkyrie's for you.

Excellent and awesome

While some parts of this are very simplistic, the rest of the game is awesome! The storyline is probably the best I have played in a long time. While I was able to pick out the real bad guy early on, the intrigue of the story kept me wanting more. Even my 16 yr old daughter got very involved. Moving from one place to another is linear, but during battles. you can manuever about. Battle play is easy to learn. Problem during battles is only being able to use the menu every so often, which makes things more challenging. The puzzles of jumping to get treasure chests are often tricky as I have been unable to figure out how to get some. A real pleasure to play.
