Great rod!

I purchased the 10ft 4wt Aeotos for fishing a spring Creek. I had read the reviews on this site as well as others and wanted to see what the excitement was about. The good news is that it is a wonderful fly rod with perfect action for a 5wt fly line ( prefer a short range load over a 75ft ego cast.... just sayin'). The bad news is that I have paid way too much for my other fly rods. It won't happen again. This is a rod for any level of fly-fisher. It's accurate and delicate in it's presentation.

Great Rod for Small Streams

I bought this 6’ rod and paired it with a small reel and 3WT line. Great outfit for a small trout stream that will be my home trout water for the foreseeable future. I got some grief for not going with a 7’ or 7.5’ but with the amount of brush and overhang I deal with on this stream, it’s so nice having a 6’. I’d really recommend this rod to anyone that finds themselves hunting browns or brookies on very small streams.

I bought a Fenwick Aetos 5wt. rod a couple years ago after seeing the Yellowstone Angler 5wt. shootout results. It has repeatedly won the best value award in that shootout and for good reason. It performs great here in the Midwest where casts are usually under 50 feet and is super accurate. It's great for trout and I have even gone on a smallmouth float trip with only this rod. I stupidly broke one and didn't think twice about replacing it with the exact same rod.
