. Note: Only apply peel coat top effects gloss clear over peel coat colors. Not intended for use over any other products or surfaces. Painting Conditions: Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Use when temperature is between 50°F-90°F (10°C - 32°C) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to galvanized metal. Avoid spraying in very windy, dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist. Preparation: Thoroughly wash Peel Coat base coat with soap and water prior to application. Painting: Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle Do Not Strike. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Mask off the area to be coated. Make sure the Peel Coat color is completely dry before top coating. Keep the can 8-12” from the surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply as many coats as desired. The last coat should be applied as a wet coat to ensure the coating lays smoothly on the surface. Remove tape while the last coat is still wet. Allow . coating to dry (5 minutes) between coats. Allow coating to cure 24 hours prior to washing. The top coat alone cannot be removed. The top coat is removed with the base Peel Coat color. Dry & Recoat Times based on 70°F (20°C) 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to the touch in 20 minutes, to handle in 1 hour. Clogging: If valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse it in a solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not stick a pin or other objects into the stem. Clean-up: When finished spraying, clear spray valve by turning can upside down and pushing spray button for 5 seconds. Allow wet paint to dry. Once dry, peel away or clean up with mineral spirits. Throw empty cans in trash pickup. Do not burn or place in home compactor. Removal: You can peel film off once the coating has fully cured. A microfiber cloth or mineral spirits can assist in the removal of film in intricate areas. Once removed, the original Peel Coat base coat color will be removed with the top coat. To ensure easy removal, peel off within 3 months of application.
