This didn't seem special from the package but once put on the bed it made the room look comfy and hotel-like with the soft colors and quilted appearance. It feels soft and breathable as expected from a cotton bedspread. I got the king size for a queen bed for the sake of draping it over the sides of the bed since I don't have a bedskirt and it is more than big enough. It is about 3 inches on the floor on each side.

I was leery about the color since I've always had bright colored bedspreads but it's a very soft, warm color. I like the fact that it is a bedspread and not a coverlet and the fact it didn't come with a sham. I don't like shams. Just not a necessity for me so was happy to see it was just a bedspread. Heavier than I thought it would be but not much. Very happy with it.
