This didn't seem special from the package but once put on the bed it made the room look comfy and hotel-like with the soft colors and quilted appearance. It feels soft and breathable as expected from a cotton bedspread. I got the king size for a queen bed for the sake of draping it over the sides of the bed since I don't have a bedskirt and it is more than big enough. It is about 3 inches on the floor on each side.
