I have had the same set of screw-lock adjustable dumbbells for 30 years - carting them with me through life stages and different abodes. They were okay - even decent - but I thought it was time for something better. And these urethane ones are better...much better. The weight is much more compact than adjustables or even rubber hex 'bells which makes it easier to find your pressing groove. The grip is thicker 1.25" and knurled through its entire length so it is comfortable even in an ungloved hand. And the top is flat which makes it great for resting on your knee or shoulders for certain exercises as well as it makes it easy to just store standing up against the wall if you don't want a rack. The shipping is Fedex rather than freight (and free, of course, unlike most competitors). Sure, the box was beat-up but the 'bells were fine. And Titan CS is great at replacing or responding to missing or damaged goods.
