Great product!

I love this product. It is new and called Fresh Works by Rubbermaid, a produce saver. It really works. The label says it uses Fresh Vent technology and keeps produce fresh up to 80% longer. The product I received is the medium size, 6.3 cups or 1.5 liters and is dishwasher safe. I put unwashed strawberries in the container and a week later that were still good. Great product! The produce saver comes in three sizes; small which is 2.5 cups or 591 ml and holds a pint of berries. The medium is as described above and holds one pound of strawberries. Large size holds 17.3 cups or 4L, equal to one head of lettuce. The containers are BPA free. There is a filter in the lid that needs no maintenance or replacement. There is a crisp tray in the bottom of the container to elevate produce and aid air flow. Produce should not be washed, rinsed, or cut before storing in this container.

GREAT LITTLE CONTAINER

I received this product free for my honest review. I am a "sort of" health food advocate. I buy a lot of spinach. In the past I have thrown away a lot of spinach due to the gross sliminess that ensues when you put it in your veggie drawer and don't use it fast enough. I have taken a bit of time with my review process on this product as I wanted to see exactly how it worked. It has a large capacity. It holds one of those large bags of spinach you see in the store. With the plastic screen at the bottom, the air can circulate around the spinach (or anything you might put in there). I have had it two weeks and my spinach, happily, is still perfectly fine and ready to use. It has a "Fresh Vent" filter, which allows air not only to circulate from the bottom, it draws the air in and doesn't allow it to become all wet, which leads to the slimy stuff I'm used to dealing with in my veggie drawer. This product is dishwasher safe. It comes in different sizes. I recommend the current size I'm reviewing unless you have really small stuff that needs preserving in the fridge. All in all, I am a happy camper with this Rubbermaid product and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I love it! Great storage for produce.

I already like Rubbermaid products. I do wish I had gotten a bigger size. This container seems to have a vent of some sort On the side of the lid. This is probably where the no maintenance filter is at that was mention in the description. I guess it is helpful in the process of keeping the vegetables in good shape. In my other Rubbermaid containers I will sometimes use a napkin along with my stored veggies and/or fruit to keep them from drowning in the water that comes from the moisture in the veggies and fruits. With this container I'm especially excited when I store lettuce or leafy greens in here. The little trey that comes at the bottom of this container in a way lifts up your produce & acts as a boat to the access moisture. This helps with the crispness & life of my produce. With more time I could have made more comparisons, but I think it's safe to say that it will help to add life to anyone's produce. I like the way the lid snaps on with ease yet the seal is good. May have something to do with the nice green rubber rim of the lid. I would recommend that you give it a try.
