Carolina Sapphire is the fastest growing conifer out there making it ideal for privacy screening. They can reach up to 40 feet tall while growing anywhere from three to five feet per year. It has attractive bluish-gray foliage which is delightfully aromatic. When planting this conifer, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow release granular fertilizer in spring.
