If you are in need of a brace beyond a nylon support or slip on, go right to this brace. It is a bit costly but, i could have avoided a couple other lesser quality and less effective purchases. Form fitted and comfortable. I would suggest buying an extra "sleeve" to use while the other is in the laundry.

I bought this brace because I severed my right ACL nearly thirty years ago. I experience pretty amazing stability and no pain related to my leg's condition, but when I ski the leg does not feel stable. I bought this brace in order to wear it when skiing. I needed something with lateral support and that would be comfortable all day - skiing or sitting down for lunch. I believe this brace will work. I received a brace when I first lost my ACL. It was very much like this one, but much heavier, hard to put on, and uncomfortable. This brace has the advantages of the original brace, but with comfort and easy to put on.
