An Assessment on disaster preparedness for library materials (Paperback)

This study intended to find out the disaster preparedness for library materials, specifically on identifying types of disasters that affect public libraries, study available preparedness measures put in place and challenges facing public libraries in disaster preparedness.Data for this study was collected through the use of questionnaires and interviews;finally, the findings of the study were revealed.The major recommendations proposed from this study are; formulation of disaster management policy, recruitment of professional staff to deal with disasters, and allocation of enough funds in public libraries
