I love this series, you can actually watch the first season on Amazon Prime. I plan on buying this series, another person compared this to Handmaid’s Tale. I have to respectfully disagree, Handmaid’s tale is an amazing series as well based on a dystopian future, however Jamestown is historical fiction.

Great Series That Will Leave You Wanting More

If you can stand the blood and guts, it's an excellent series. Well written and gives a very true to life portrayal of what life was like in Jamestown in the 1600's. The series was shot in Hungary and producers actually built buildings to recreate the basic town of Jamestown and brought members of the Pamunkey tribe to portray their ancestors. It's also a good example of the injustices and cruelty slaves and women went through. Don't get too attached to the characters though. There are only 3 seasons of this series and it will leave you wanting more. I wish it would continue.
