Pushing the limits of standard towing, CURT forged ball mounts are a powerhouse among receiver-style ball mounts. With solid, one-piece construction, each forged ball mount is designed to surpass other 2" options to accommodate the added stress of heavy-duty towing. They are able to tow up to 17,000 lbs. of gross trailer weight and up to 2,550 lbs. of tongue weight, giving them more power to handle especially heavy loads. CURT forged ball mounts also come with a thick skin. We coat each ball mount in a black carbide powder coat finish to provide superior rust, scratch and UV protection. A forged ball mount is an excellent choice for hauling all kinds of heavy trailers. Whatever type of load you are towing -- livestock, industrial equipment, construction materials -- these class 5 ball mounts help you complete the job. Use a forged ball mount to tow large utility trailers, livestock and cattle trailers, toy haulers, RVs and large boat trailers (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). Heavy Duty Ball Mount
I shopped the internet and Wal-Mart had the best deal and I choose the "slower", but free shipping Wal-Mart was offering, and much to my surprise, Wal-Mart, or their selling partner,exceeded my expectations when it arrived 4-days later and not the 7-10 days as I was expecting with free shipping. I often shop on the world's largest on-line retailer (Am_s_n), and select free shipping. Their computer ordering system must have built in ordering process delays built-in because I will get a "shipment notification" e-mail and get the package 2-days later and yet the shipping originated 1/2-way across the country. But, not at Wal-Mart, they processed my order and got it to the shipper promptly. I am sure other customer who chose faster shipping methods that day had their orders processed ahead of mine, but I suspect Wal-Mart processed my order at a non-peak time, but still got it to the shipper quicker than Am_s_n.

I am very happy with
I am very happy with this 2.5" receiver fit my GMC 2500 Sierra Diesel truck receiver, slide in easy 5/8 pin line up, do not have too fight the pin to get in, Black powder coat is very good. It little heavy,but it is solid piece of iron. I do fill very secure about pulling any trailer I own.

I haven't used my hitch
I haven't used my hitch yet, but when I got it, I was I was very impressed by the quality and the finish. Can't wait to throw some snowmobiles and a trailer on it and try it out!
