Titanium (Symbol: Ti, Atomic #22) has a low density and is strong, lustrous, and corrosion resistant. Titanium is recognized for its high strength-to-weight ratio. Skateboarding is always pushing the limits of the riders and the gear they use. As a direct result of mass bearing blow-outs someone had the idea to create bearings made out of titanium alloy. Titanium is stronger and lighter than steel and it also doesn't rust. These bearings are made with high micro finish grade 10 titanium balls, a self lubricating nylon ball retainer, and 2 shields to keep out contaminates that are removable for servicing.
