Great macro lens

Pros: Strong Construction, Nice Bokeh, Durable, Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Rugged Cons: Other thoughts: Excellent prime lens specifically designed for macro/micro work but can also serve as a medium telephoto. On a D7000 it is effectively 157mm. This fast lens produces great photos with great color, beautiful bokeh and tack sharp images. Handheld it can be a little tricky wide open due to shallow DOF, but VR helps with that. Great for portraits, too.

Great Lens

Pros: Rugged Cons: Other thoughts: I have waited a long time to get this lens. It is vastly superior when taking close (macro) photographs. It is rugged and has the weight you would expect from this type of lens. I think it is a basic lens that is needed if you enjoy close-up photography. It seems to work fine with my Nikon D300.

Pros: I could not be happier with this lens I looked at all the other comparable lenses from other manufacturers and the Nikon 105 always came out on top,, It is a little pricey but worth every penny and Beach Camera gave me the best deal...Very satisfied with the Nikon 105 and Beach Camera....thanks guys....BOB Cons: haven't found any yet Other thoughts: Spend the extra few dollars ,you will NOT be sorry
