ACDelco Genuine GM Windshield Wiper Linkage

Easily replaced original and the metal it is made of seems to be more durable than the original. I just had to remove the motor and center link from the original and transfer to the new transmission. The center link took a little work to press out of the old and into the new rubber grommets but it was doable. Make sure you mark the wipers alignment to the posts they bolt to before removing them as well as match up and mark the connections on the transmission before you take it apart and transfer to the new one for easier installation without having to adjust a lot. I had removed the motor and center link without marking them and transferred to the new transmission. Then when I installed it on the vehicle and put the cowling back on and attached the wiper arms I had them wiping the windshield fine, only they would end in the middle of the travel path on the windshield. I didn't want to take it all apart to adjust so I slid the cowling up over the arms as much as I could and put a couple rolls of shop towels in there to hold it up so I could get my arm in and use a socket and ratchet to remove the center link nut and move the arms a notch or two down on the gear of the center link. I re-tightened the nut and then after trying it and tweaking each arm a bit I was able to dial it in and get them synced up, traveling across the windshield correctly and stopping almost where they should at the bottom of the windshield. It is winter here in Wisconsin and that was the coldest week so far of the season (-30° F with the windchill factor!) so I will tweak it again in Spring.
