Discontinued - Snapper 60V Hedge Trimmer, 2Ah Battery and Charger Included SH60V

The Snapper SH60V 60V Hedge Trimmer is much more powerful than anticipated. We have an old electric one that we are replacing and it's nice not to have to deal with a cord. I really didn't expect that a battery operated anything could be that efficient, but it is more than enough for what we are going to use it for and most likely because the battery is heavy and big. That's the only issue I have with it, is the heaviness of the unit. It forces you to use 2 hands, which is probably the way it was designed for maximum safety handling. It comes with a cover for the bladed area, as well as a “2Ah battery and charger”. It charges in a couple of hours and has a 4 light indicator to let you see how much “juice” is in your battery. The lights turn green as they charge up. It has a safety feature, that if your hand slips off the trigger, it will automatically stop. The battery charger lights will turn red if you have over-heated it or if there some other problem when you charged it. It's like the “terminator” of hedge trimmers, (smart and versatile) since you can turn the handle 90 degrees to change direction if you are trimming up and down or sideways. Such a sturdy piece of equipment, I can tell this hedgetrimmer will last us a long time.

I have seen lawn tractors and mowers made by Snapper but I didn't know that Snapper also makes hand-held yard equipment like a hedge trimmer. There are more popular brands out there that you can purchase from Walmart or other home improvement stores but the Snapper SH60V Hedge Trimmer is definitely a gem. I am completely amazed on the features of this hedge trimmer. For one, this Snapper SH60V Hedge Trimmer is 24” in length and cordless – you do not have to mess around with tangled cords, getting unplugged in the middle of trimming, and the frustration of not having enough cord then look for an extension - plus this trimmer cuts with ease with less to no vibration at all! This hedge trimmer saves you all the frustration. This hedge trimmer doesn't use gas – no need for cranking to start and no spewing smoke that normally comes with gas powered motor. The Snapper SH60V Hedge Trimmer is battery powered and the 60 volt battery pack is powerful enough to finish any trimming job you have in your yard. And with the rotating rear handle, trimming and cutting in an angle is a snap. Any budding lawn artist who wants to manicure their yard and sculpt figures will fall in love with the Snapper SH60V Hedge Trimmer. The only problem I see that a few of our older folks may run into is the size of the battery pack. The battery pack is bigger than normal. The battery charger and the battery itself are big – not huge but bigger than your standard rechargeable. I can see how a few folks may frown on this trimmer just because of the hassle they may encounter loading the battery into the machine. However, if you look at the additional features this trimmer has to offer you would understand the need for more power with the big battery. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this product. Who would have thought that Snapper would produce a great hand-held yard machine? I highly recommend this hedge trimmer to all.
