Beautiful but coating wore off

I wore this necklace for years in So Cal and received so many compliments on how gorgeous it was. No one knew it wasn't real! After about 3 years, the rhodium wore off and it's no longer wearable. I'm considering ordering a new one but sad it's not made to last longer.
