Sweet spot...
being newegg's house brand i decided to give a rosewill power sup. a try few years back (rosewill green series 620w) i was pretty impressed with the build quality of it so when upgraded my system i got another one (rosewill extreme 850w - not the bronze they have now, mine is the older version, only 80 plus cert.) that i've run in my system for 3 years and i keep my computer running for pretty long hours on my days off (like 12-14 hours) never had a problem and this one is no exception, it's been only about two weeks but it is running my OCed cpu which is around 140w, 2x r9 290s in CF, 3 HDDs, total of 6 blue led 120mm fans like champ. this quality, for this price, i say stop thinking and click that add to cart button if you need it!!! Pro: Price/Quality... I was upgrading my system around and decided to upgrade my power sup. also, i don't want to sound like a sales person for rosewill but this is my 3rd power sup. from them and all worked pretty nicely (especially my 850w extreme ran for 3 years, no problems at all) Con:just like one other user mentioned when you attach your cables sometimes the other connectors in the chain are left twisted, try to be careful not to break them but still not worth taking an egg off. also sad to see some poeple had DOA ones but i am sure if you contact newegg on time, they'll gladly replace it.
beautiful, well built
After trying the Hive 1000watt, I would step up the next level for sure! Pro: Meet high power demands and can put out more than 1000 watt indeed, run cool and quite, look fantastic, cables are incredible with a colorful fabric covering and very long, paint job is really nice, its very different you don't see many in the market, run very stable too! Con:Cost wise, I guess you get what you paid for and it worth very single penny, and to be very honest, this is the best power supply I have ever owned!
Great PSU for the price
Great PSU, well worth the price for a 1000w. Newegg is definitely showing they can compete with their Rosewill band. Pro: Power supply is exactly what they told in the description. No complaints ran fine, cable length is more than long enough to fit inside a full size tower without stretching the coards. Con:Not worth taking an egg off, but the sata cable cords seem oddly positioned at lengths, I had to plug two in to make them fit the SSD bay because the first that reached the hard drive bay left the remaining satas on the chain at an awkward angle.
