"Good-bye, Food Saver!" I wish I would've purchased this product years ago instead of purchasing four different Food Saver units over the years. The quality of this Nesco Vacuum Sealer is outstanding, as are this brand's sealing rolls and bags. Nesco DOUBLE-SEALS the bag when you vacuum seal your food, whether you make your own bags from the roll or buy pre-made bags. The double seal creates 2 parallel seal lines, approximately 1/8" apart from each other. The benefit to you is your food is double protected against losing the vacuum seal after your food is sealed. I believe Food Saver units are NOT built to last. This Nesco unit feels solid and heavy in weight in comparison to the Food Saver products. The Nesco Vacuum Sealer is much easier to use than the Food saver products because you can use the Nesco with one hand. Also, the cutter on the Nesco machine is remarkably better than the Food Saver machines. The suction on the Nesco vacuum sealer is also excellent in comparison to Food Saver machines. This is a completely new experience and I am absolutely delighted that I decided to research other vacuum sellers on the market, finding this product. Great buying decision for something I use everyday.

These bags are much less expensive than the other "name" brand, but they work every bit as well (or better!). We decided to try them because they were a great price, but we will keep buying them because the quality is great! They seal well, too.
