Blower motor resistor in 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD

This was a perfect replacement for the original blower motor resistor in my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. It replaces the original resistor and the mounting bracket that sits under the original resistor and held it in place. Installation was straight forward and relatively easy. The connectors are 7 wires on the one plug and two wires on the plug going into the blower motor. Instructions are not really necessary, but there are some YouTube videos that describe and show the installation. Best of all, I now have all five fan speeds back!

Item don't work and/or wrong item

Since this was a factory replacement part I thought I'd have no problem with it. It was about 30.00 cheaper then from the dealer. Got one from the dealer today and it worked great. It is supposed to be black on the sealed part and it's white that would leave me to believe it's either after market or and new type and it's defective.
