When UV-A light hits an object containing phosphors it would cause the surface to naturally fluoresce thereby causing it to glow. The Sunlite 20-watt CFL black light bulb (BLB) emits ultraviolet (UV-A) light at 463nm wavelength perfect for lighting up reactive surfaces while not illuminating the surrounding areas. Ideal for creating a glow effect with colors like true white and neon hues for parties, clubs, and Halloween decorations. Can also be used for verifying security features on ID cards and currency and detecting pet stains on carpets or furniture that are not otherwise visible to the naked eye. Standard medium base (E26) works with a wide variety of lamps and fixtures. UL listed for safety and quality and features a long 8, 000 hour life span.
