A Look inside the mind of Tolkien... one of many

This book was compiled and edited by J.R.R. Tolkien's son Christopher Tolkien from his father's original notes. It is really an interesting look inside the amount of time, care, and energy that J.R.R. Tolkien put into his masterpiece. There are several other books out there available that are also compiled from Tolkien's notes for all those would-be writers and those just more interested in the man and middle-earth itself. It is great reading for research pieces and for authors looking to take the leap and write a masterpiece series of their own, but wouldn't recommend it for those who are just yearning for more Tolkien storytelling for that I would recommend his work "The Silmarillion" which was published posthumously and is subtitled "The Epic History of the Elves in Lord of the Rings". For researchers and would-be authors, I would also recommend taking a look into the relationship between Tolkien and C.S. Lewis and their writer's group originally named "Inklings" ---- enjoy
