A decent, brighter alternative to the regular 43W ("60W equivalent") halogen bulbs if longer life is a priority, although as with other extended life filament bulbs, they seem to be a bit underdriven for lower lumens per Watt. Don't know if 850 is loosely considered 75W equivalent under the new standards, but I recall the old-style incandescents being somewhere north of 1000. So on these you're making some (maybe worthwhile) compromise between output and life.
