A Steal for Such a Superb Collection

I thought these stories were written by Dahl. They are not. They are selected by him. Had I known that I am not sure I would have bought it. But turns out this is a great collection of ghost stories. So well written, too. I was immediately impressed with the writing of each story. Very spooky and I think these are more for adults than kids. Just my opinion. This ranks right up there with Casting the Runes by M.R. James. Perfect for the Halloween season. Highest recommendation.

Creepy Stories for Adults, Not Kids

I bought Roald Dahl's Book of Ghost Stories from Walmart as a gift for my niece's second-grader, a huge Roald Dahl fan who reads at a fifth-grade level. Big mistake—these stories, curated but not written by Dahl, are way too spooky for a young boy! I kept it for myself and loved its eerie, well-chosen tales—perfect for a cozy, shivery night with a cup of tea. Not for young readers, but great for adults who enjoy classic ghost stories. Walmart nailed it with perfect packaging, excellent book condition, and FedEx delivery a day early!
