Maybelline Brow Drama Pro Palette #265 Auburn

I used to use brow zings by Benefit Cosmetics, and they no longer make that, so I've been searching for something to replace that for well over a year. This more than does the job! It's half the cost and just as good.

I have never been so impressed by a brow palette as I have with the Maybelline Master Brow.  I had judged it too quickly, thinking that because it was a drugstore brand that it wouldn't live up to my expectations.  With all the amazing brow products out there (Anastasia Beverly Hills, Benefit, Bobbi Brown to name a few) what could this possibly have that would make me want to use it more than the others?  For starters, the price is a great selling point.  You'd be pressed to find something with a box wax, highly pigmented colour and a highlighter at such a reasonable price.  Plus it comes with an eyebrow brush to create the flawless look with precision just like the pros.  The soft brown colour was just the perfect combination of being rich in colour, filling in the gaps and sparse areas of my brows, matching the rest of my brows perfectly, giving it a natural look.  My tip would be to use the brush and gently create feathered strokes so as to mimic the look of the actual brows.  Just gently dab the brush into the colour and lift the brush upwards.  Its a soft look that won't overwhelm the face with too much colour, avoiding the dreaded "blocked brows" look.  Once I filled in my brows I would dip the brush in the wax and go over it to keep my eyebrows in place.  Then I used the other side of the brush to use the light pink highlighter under and over my brows to make my brows stand out, give it definition and give it a clean look.  The three step process might sound time consuming but it couldn't be easier.  Plus it would ensure great looking brows for the whole night.  Overall, the brow kit gave my eyebrows a uniformed look that I desperately wanted to create without much effort.  Even if you happened to make mistakes, with powder it's so easy to fix (just use a spoolie/eyebrow brush to go over the brows which helps get rid of the extra powder while also redistributing the colour to make it look even) and it's not as noticeable if you were to use a pomade or pencil.  Pros:-Great for beginners and pros as it's easy to use -Creates a natural look with the perfect amount of pigment-The brown shade is flattering for both light and dark haired ladies-Reasonable price with product lasting ages-The wax helps keep eyebrow hairs in place to create a nice, clean look-The highlighting powder will draw attention to the brows while making the brows look even- You can make it as light or as dramatic as you want, depending on how much powder you want to use-The powder is easy to fix if you happen to use too much-Comes with a brush to help fill in sparse areas
