Getting a View Master? Get this pack.

This was a fun addition to the viewing experience. You do have to get pretty close to the reels in order to trigger them to work. But once you do, we found them interesting. The animals have movement which the kids found exciting. There were videos that you could click on that made everything look 3D. I didn't care having to tie up my phone for a long period of time. It also made my phone get extremely hot. We liked that we could move our head around and get a 360 degree view. I liked that there were 3 reels included in this package. There was the Australian Outback, Amazon and the African Savanna. We tried the African Savanna first and it felt like we were on a safari. Accessing the videos that were on it as you looked around was a great feature. Using the reels would have been nice to have more explicit directions. The pass card wouldn't work right away and after many tries finally got it situated the correct way. Don't know if it gets bent if it will quit working, so be careful. The directions did say that one better not lose the red wheel or you won't be able to operate the viewer. Also since you purchase the pack to use with the View Master, don't lose the paper scan card either. It would have been nice if they had built it as a bar code onto the wheels as you know if a kid is using/myself, will be lucky to get everything back in the right box. When viewing you see different items you can view (the digital icons), once you decide you click the lever. There is sound which also made the experience more interesting. There were facts you could click on as well as mini games. If you explore all that is included in the packs there is a lot of entertainment. The only problem is worrying about my phone overheating and if the phone is charged enough. After a few minutes you do get the dizzy feeling from having the items so close to your eyes. This National Geographic pack is kid friendly. This extra pack is worth purchasing if you are going to buy the View Master viewer.

Yes, yes and yes!

I watch of lot of NatGeo shows and this is like being up close, it makes an African safari personal. There are actual footage of animals and it shows what animal you are looking at and an informative fact about the animal. The Amazon jungle is very realistic and the virtual reality kind makes you dizzy looking around at the 3D effect of the jungle, it is really cool the 3D experince. There is the outback animals shown with an informative fact and the desert is a realistic effect. The lions, zebras, elephants, cockatoos, rhinoceros, dingos, kangaroos, koalas, jaguars have real live footage and these are just the ones whose names I know they are several other different types of exotic animals. They have an interactive safari game on each reel finding the animals. It is an up and down 360 degree experince with sound. The sound can be muted but I don't see no reason to the sound enhances the experience. I definitely know which is my favorite place to visit and where I would make a vacation spot. The whole process would be less complicated and I would feel like I have inside knowledge of these sights. Go on safari without leaving home!

Allergy friendly.

What a fun way to explore nature With National Geographic Wildlife, see natural habitats from angles that you would not see when watching TV. Visit the Australian Outback or the heart of the Amazon or even the African Savanna without all the expense, heat or insects to bug you. All without the worry of getting lost or eaten. This could be a mini vacation for you and all without leaving home. To start First you download the file View-Master® Wildlife on your Android smart phone or compatible iOS phone, then hold passport to your smartphone screen to activate. Next place your phone into the view master making sure to line it up with the lines so you can see things correctly. Now look through the view master at one of the reels and away you go. This one can benefit those who are allergic to animals because they have a chance to experience some of what it like in nature without the allergies. You can look up, down, left or right and see things you would not see in the original view master. Great for seeing different animals, learning about animals you may not have known existed. With three reels to choose from you really can have fun.
