Takes great video, but GPS feature does not work.

I ordered this Whistler D19vr and paid more for this camera compared to other Dash cameras... specifically because it was advertised by Walmart to have GPS capability. That using the optional GPS antennae, the available computer software download from Whistler would allow a person to view on their laptop or home computer the compass direction, a map of your location and the speed you were traveling all along your recorded route. After purchasing the GPSmod2 antennae from Whistler for $25, I learned that Whistler no longer manufactures this camera, it has been deleted from their product web page.. and the company no longer supports the computer software. After 2 weeks of trying to get help from the company, I never got the software loaded onto my computer. Both of my computer virus programs keep warning me not to open the software program.. that it could damage my computer. I over rode the warning and all I got was pop-up after pop-up of error messages. The camera takes great video and the phone app control works OK. I could view the videos on my phone and control the camera. I was also able to load the videos from the Dash cam onto my computer easily enough. But the GPS feature description claim is completely bogus. I never got it to work, neither did the company employee I talked with for over 2 weeks by phone & by e-mail trying to get this feature to work. It certainly isn't worth the money that Walmart is asking you to pay for a feature that won't work and apparently never will because Whistler no longer makes this camera and doesn't support the software. Besides over paying Walmart for the camera because the GPS feature didn't work, I also lost money by spending $25 more for the GPS antennae buying it from Whistler. I figure I ended up over paying about $45 what the camera is really worth.
