The jar box makes it very simple to safely transport filled jars, and even ship them via UPS. I shipped a dozen from NJ to FL, no problems (I added a bit of bubble wrap to make sure). It does exactly what you would think it does.

If you can, you should invest in these. Love them.

I love the jar boxes. They are fantastic to keep the jars clean and can be stacked. That is not safe for several reasons unless done so in a jarbox or some other way to avoid pressure on the lids. And so good for carrying the jars down to the basement where my pantry is. All of my canned foods are in these boxes. It is a bit of an investment but just like jars, once you have them they can be reused.
