Instant Pot DUO60 6 Qt 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker

I had a slow cooker, many years ago, and it did a nice job. This Instant Pot does a fantastic job! I had been considering getting another slow cooker, when I was given the opportunity to try this 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker. I was a little unsure of it, at first. Frankly my Mom has been telling me horror stories about an exploding pressure cooker, for years. But that was about 30 or 40 years ago and technology has stepped up, along with safety measures. This is not your mother's pressure cooker. It comes well packed and has instructions in several languages, including Chinese. It has a Quick Reference Guide that shows exactly how to use the cooker and has visual flow descriptions. Not only does it have a user manual, it also has a small recipe booklet, to help you get started. The user manual is in English, Spanish, French and Chinese - so is the Quick Reference Guide. The recipe booklet is in English and Chinese. The pot is heavy, very sturdy and the inner pot is a heavy stainless steel, which is removable and easy to clean. The pot has safety features that you are encouraged to pay attention to, including a steam release handle, anti-block shield and exhaust valve. It comes with a short power cord, to reduce the chance of accidents, due to entanglements. The LED display will also alert to a problem, so you can check the troubleshooting section. The pot may be used as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, to saute, steam vegetables, make rice, pasteurize milk and make yogurt. The first dish I made was a chicken stew and I used the slow cooker. It was so very easy, to just put the cut up chicken in the pot, add the other ingredients, turn it on and walk away. In a few hours I had a nice dinner ready, with very little effort. On another day I forgot to take my chicken out of the freezer. I wondered if I could cook it , without first thawing it out, in the pressure cooker. Well, guess what - YES, I could! I took my three frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts, placed them in the cooker, added some BBQ sauce, water, seasoning and in 15 minutes, I had a meal. The chicken was cooked through, moist and tender. I was so very pleased! I look forward to trying more recipes, using this wonderful pot. I have found many recipes online and there are even tutorials on YouTube, for the Instant Pot. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who loves to cook, or anyone who doesn't - because it will save you lots of time and make cooking so much easier. Two thumbs way up!

What is not to love about my new sparkling, gleaming 6qt Instant Pot? I got this at a very good Black Friday price also so bonus. This is an upgrade from my 3qt pot, as I really needed the room. I am right now pressure cooking some beautiful bone in ribs I just got delivered from Walmart Plus! This is a must have for your kitchen and such quality is rare. Stainless steel pot and just beautiful dinners will come out of this. Happy with it! Thank you Walmart and Instant Pot!
