We had a messenger style diaper bag, but seeing people with the backpack it seemed like a much better route to go. Decided to give this Baby Boom BB Gear Places & Spaces Diaper Backpack a try. First of all, I recommend backpacks from here on out. The versatility just in that design over the messenger bag is crazy. You can wear the thing, hands free. You can also throw the straps over your stroller handles and leave it like that. It's a much, much better design. As for this particular bag, it seems to have all the same features as our old bag, plus a couple more. And a few have been improved. By far the most significant improvement is there is a velcro flap that covers the diaper wipe dispenser compartment as seen in my photo. This might not seem like a huge thing, but literally every other bag doesn't have anything covering it. They just let the plastic closure of the diaper wipes be exposed. These things get tossed around, and you can absolutely guarantee your diaper wipe closure will be sheared off by something. Every time. It's not an issue with this bag! Other features that may or may not be useful to you, there's a skinny compartment against the back which is for a laptop. We put the changing pad there instead. There's also the tiny pocket on top that's apparently for your smartphone. No no no, that's the pacifier pocket. Definitely the pacifier pocket. Aside from that, you get 1 large open portion which is of course the most useful. I think there's a total of 9 pockets on this thing, which might be a little excessive. We mostly use the large pocket for clothes, the one right behind that pocket for diapers, creams and such go in the side pocket, and the remaining front pockets for odds and ends like boogie wipes or fingernail clippers. I've seen some reviews mention zippers pulling away from the bag, but so far, I can't comment on that. It's been holding up well for us, and I'm not always nice to diaper bags. They get tossed around and crushed into small spaces a lot, so it's certainly seen its share of rough handling. We love it so far, and fully recommend it. Like I said, others have had issues, we haven't. It's super comfortable and the color makes it easier to pick out at toddler class where there's a pile of virtually identical black bags!

Ib live this diaper bag. It is a backpack making it easier to carry and great for dad's to use. It has so much room in it! Pack everything you need and have plenty of room. The side pocket holds the Wipes making it easier for you to grab on the go. The bottle pocket is insulated making it so bottle isn't too hot or cold. This is a must have for any parent. Gender neutral makes is easier to give a a gift as as well.
