Ruth Goodman -- Time Traveler

Don't want to be a Tudor? Then be a Victorian. Social historian Ruth Goodman always offers a different perspective on a period in history, as anyone who has watched her in the various BBC series can attest. If you've seen her, you'll want this book. If you haven't seen her (fie on you), you absolutely need this book. Buy it now!

Excellent book from a superb practical historian

I recommend this book highly. Ruth Goodman does not just write about a historical period by drawing on previous books by other historians. She is not only a scholar, but a hands-on experiental historian. She has done everything that she writes about, and can give insights that only come from practical experience.
