Pilot G2 Mech Pencil, 0.7 mm, HB (#2.5), Black Lead, Asst, 2 Count

This is my review on the Pilot G2 G-2 Mechanical Pencils, 5/Pack (Quantity). My kids refuse to use the old fashioned #2 pencils now since they figured out how great these mechanical pencils are. These are a good brand of products and the Pilot brand has been around a long time. The lead in these pencils seem to be stronger and longer lasting than a regular pencil. This package of pencils came in cool and different colored outer shell and they are not just plain and it makes it easier to keep up with.

I use mechanical pencils to draw plans for the multitude of home projects we do. I've stuck with the same ones, a different brand, for over a decade because I'm a creature of habit. I was offered these as part of a reviewer program hence my trying out a new brand. I have to say I'm super impressed! The pencil lead is a #2 HB which is super resilient yet not so thick it looks like you wrote with a wide kid's pencil. The lead is also very dark which is a huge plus. The erasers work really well. I usually use a gum eraser but these work even better. They removed the lead lines easily without having to scrub which damages the paper. The pack comes with extra eraser heads & 12 extra leads. The erasers are soft yet long lasting.. another point that impressed me. Also you have the ability to buy replacement erasers independent of the mechanical pencils or lead refills. These are some solid mechanical pencils you can feel the quality & durability when you hold them. I see these lasting a very long time. The bang for your buck can't be beat. The pencils themselves are very comfortable to use even for long sessions. I spent 4 solid hours drawing plans for a new outdoor garden trellis system yesterday & my hand felt better than it does after that long with my other mechanical pencils. The rubber grip is very comfortable to hold. On to appearance: I love the colors of the pencils themselves. The colors are very with the current pallet of colors. a beautiful peacock blue, a bright green that's lovely. One is black, Another is a really pretty medium blue gorgeous but my favorite is the lavender shade of purple. All in all I'd say these are an exceptionally good product that will last you a very long time.
