Designed to prevent, treat and manage pressure ulcers in the home or long term care setting, the Med-Aire Assure combination therapy mattress system provides both alternating pressure and low air loss to optimize pressure redistribution and manage skin maceration. The Med-Aire Assure incorporates a system of eighteen 5" individual bladders over a 3" foam base. The pump offers a static feature as well as adjustable comfort settings by patient weight. The removable cover is quilted for comfort, low shear, anti-microbial, water-resistant and vapor permeable. Plus, a CPR valve allows for rapid deflation.

How the bed fills and re-circulates read book !
I own this bed and have been in it 2 years. The way it works is really different than you might think. The bed fills with air to a certain pressure that you choose on the box. But it dosent distribute it until you lay on it and then it adjusts and readjusts until it has a pressure of the weight you have chosen. So it dosent get hard first all the way until you lay on it. Then it circulates air around your body parts until it is finished. Then it re-circulates air every 10 min as you move. Read book and you will understand or call for help it has a warranty and you can talk to them on the phone.
