Winsome Wood Aldric Writing Desk, Walnut Finish

This Winsome writing desk is a good purchase for the price, as it is very nice looking, sturdy, and solid wood, and the Walnut finish is beautiful, in my opinion. I'll try to post a photo later, but the desk is exactly as shown in the picture. I chose this desk because it's a good size for my bedroom without being too small. For the two panels that hold the shelves on the left side of the desk, I received two front panels instead of one front panel and one back panel; yes, they have to fit the desk frame, you cannot put any panel in the front and back (due to the orientation of the screw holes). So, I requested a return and refund at Walmart.com because they did not have more of the same desk to send a replacement. My husband almost returned the desk at a local Walmart store the next day. Then I thought I should read the description in Walmart's webpage once more, and I read that I could ask the manufacturer for a replacement item, so I cancelled the return to Walmart. I filled a replacement form for the back panel missing in the Winsome website and received a confirmation immediately and an email about two days later, probably because it was the weekend when I submitted the request for the replacement item. Winsome sent us the replacement back panel in about a week, they had great communication with me via email and great service. The point is to read everything very carefully and more than once if necessary in the descriptions of items before buying them and after buying if something is missing or wrong with the item. The only thing I don't like is that the drawer does not have an internal stop and that the shelves can only go on the left side, but those are minor things to me. I have used the desk only a few days, but I think it deserves the highest rating based on how it looks and how solid and sturdy it is for the price; it really is well built. My husband assembled it in about one hour and struggled a little bit, but in the end, he said it was fine. The only major issue was with the missing part, but it was solved quickly. I am very happy with the desk so far and I hope it will last many years with proper care.
