Zenna Home Josephine Thermal Energy Wrap Window Panels, Set of 2

I received the Maytex Josephine Thermal Energy Wrap Window Panels, Set of 2 free in exchange for writing this review. I live in an efficiency apartment in a senior community. My apartment faces our courtyard and I have 2 large windows that directly face the courtyard. The window blinds that came with the apartment are OK during the day, but when night falls it's a different story. The project has overhead lights outside of all the apartments that come on when it gets dark. I can close my blinds, turn out all of my lights and I can still see to walk around in my apartment. It's like having a giant night light inside. I realize the outside lights are for security, but they are so bright. That is why I chose the panels. Not only to save on my heating and cooling bills but also to block out the light so I can sleep better. The panels have Velcro tabs to help keep the curtains in place. That is a big plus. I have noticed that I do not have to run the air conditioner as much since I put up the panels. I believe that the panels are a good buy and do what they are meant to do.

These curtains are fantastic -I have attached 3 pictures; first showing name of curtains, the second picture showing daylight contrast with a room darkening shade ( what a difference) and the third picture with just slivers of light(to verify it was daylight out) and also to verify how dark it really does make the room. The fabric feels really great especially the backing ( which I found surprising) the backing is very soft not stiff like some of the older brands. It also seems to be keeping the room cooler. I was a little skeptical, but I do plan to buy these curtains for my other bedrooms. My son has been sleeping much better with a pitch black room! I have not tried to wash them yet but the directions seem to be straight forward and I like the no dry clean only cleaning label. We didn't use the extra Velcro stickers that attach to the wall as the curtains themselves totally covered everything. I think that it is because the curtain rod does not go all the way through to the end of the curtain. The rod begins to go into the certain about an inch into the curtain so it has that extra overlay on the sides.
