This scratching post is just what we were looking for: The design is simple, with furniture quality wood at top and bottom making the scratching post fit into our decor. While one cat won't come near it, the other one loves it, so now each has its own. This saves two of our leather chairs without calling attention to itself. A big in in our house.

My husband and I bought this for our 9 month old big boy. We have other scratch pads/posts but wanted something that would stand up to our young destructor boy. It is very tall which is great as our boy likes to stretch up and scratch, it is tall enough for him to do this. It's very sturdy as well with a large wooden base, perfect to sustain running attacks from crazy kittens. Would most definitely buy this again.
