I bought this dress (blue and white flower) on a whim and couldn't be more pleased!
THE MATERIAL
The fabric has just enough stretch to make it comfortable to sit, stand, and bend over. I'm a Sunday school teacher, so this is important to me. The quality is very satisfactory! Thick and durable, I expect it will last through many, many washes before I see signs of wear and tear.
THE STYLE AND FIT
I love the style! I'm pretty curvy at 5'8' and 180 lbs., so A-line styles are more flattering on me than straight skirts. The print is true to the picture. The sleeves aren't too small for my arms which is a big concern for me since I'm also the church pianist. I hate arm holes that restrict and/or hinder movement. The skirt comes down to about the bottom of my kneecaps, my favorite length! I used a crinoline to give it some personality and let the crinoline hang a couple inches below the dress. Perfect fluff! :) The neckline is perfect for being mobile, but still looking feminine and dressy. It does not gape or sag unless you purposely let your shoulders droop to that point. The belt does not have any sort of belt loops so be prepared to keep up with a loose belt while storing.
THE PRICE AND SERVICE
The price blew me away because of the quality of fabric. I was not expecting much since my previous clothing orders have come from Wish. I liked what I got from Wish, but I find more variety (mostly choice in colors and this style with sleeves) from Walmart. I received the package on time (I've had quite some issues with Amazon) and wore it to church the next day after letting it hang on my door overnight. It came folded in a plastic bag, but was ready to go Sunday morning with no ironing necessary. That being said, the fabric would probably not do well in a stuffed suitcase.
THE SIZE CHART
I cannot emphasize this enough: READ ALL THE REVIEWS! Make an educated choice through people who have gone through the experience of ordering the product! If someone has something bad to say about the product or the service, take into consideration the others' reviews and vice versa.
Some things to consider from my experiences:
1. Not all size charts are the same (I think we all know that, but it's good to hear it again)
2. The dresses in the pictures are most likely "helped" to fluff out like they do by crinoline underneath the skirt. If you want that look (which is quite nice if I do say so myself), buy one from Wish. They're inexpensive and easy to get the size correct.
3. Not every dress will be of the same fabric quality if you order a different color/pattern. For example, the red dress may have thick, comfortable fabric that stretches a bit. You like it so you order another of the same dress, but in a different color/pattern. You are disappointed when it turns out to be made from thin, harsh fabric that has no give and is scratchy at the seams. Just do your homework, look at reviews specific to the color/pattern you are thinking about ordering, and think about it all for a couple days before ordering. It's a process that has never failed me.
4. Beware of fabric insets (two fabrics sewn between the main fabric of the dress. I once ordered a dress which had insets of polka-dotted fabric which shrank after the first wash.
Overall, I love this dress! I had no issues with service or quality! Love it and the convenience of Walmart's delivery!
