It's a really nice rod! Bout it to go fishing in the ocean, but I decide to test it out in our local fresh water spillway! First cast caught a 65lb blue cat! It handle him well! Planning on buying another, and now my son is a believer in it to! He broke his custom surf and they replaced it to only have it brake again, so he used mine one night and caught a 45lb blue cat!

Good value and performs well.

I have only used the rod a couple of times so far and it has exceeded my expectations. The rod is surprisingly light ans sensitive. I have the 10' casting model rated for 10 to 20 pound line and 1 to 4 ounce weights. I have thrown both 3 and 4 ounce sinkers. The sweet spot seems to be the 4 ounce sinkers. I estimate that I am getting better than 300' casting distance with a 4 ounce sinker this coming from a novice surf caster.

this fishing met all my expectationa & then some. it delivered 100% casting lures fishing off the beaches / rocks in CUBA & did not dissapoint. i caught grouper , snapper , jacks & countless barracuda. highly recommend this fishing rod if your goal is to cast as far as humanly possible. i can see myself purchasing a 2nd one in the future.
