Rugged Full Metal Design Engineered for Tough Fights
Crafted from durable materials, this saltwater reel resists corrosion and is built to withstand years of punishing use. The reel's full metal body, sideplate, and rotor maintains flawless gear alignment under extreme levels of pressure, giving you added leverage when you're in the heat of battle.

HT-100 Drag System for Silky-Smooth Drag
The Battle II Spinning Reel's HT-100 Versa Drag system remains cool and supple under heavy loads, giving you the finesse and power needed to subdue a variety of hard-pulling fish species. This innovative drag system utilizes both sides of each drag washer to deliver forceful yet smooth drag across the entire drag curve. Additionally, each drag washer is treated with a proprietary grease to ensure long-lasting performance.

Fluid Cranking with Stainless Steel Ball Bearings
The Battle II Spinning Fishing Reel ensures reliable operation and buttery-smooth cranking with its five stainless steel ball bearings. An instant anti-reverse bearing helps eliminate rotor backplay, so you can set the hook and then reel in your catch without interruption.

Superline Spool with Convenient Line Capacity Rings
The spool is fitted with a rubber gasket that prevents the Superline from slipping under pressure, meaning anglers can use braided line without a monofilament backing. And thanks to line capacity rings marked at 1/3, 2/3, and full capacity, you can see how much line is remaining at a glance.

It's a Penn.!!!!

I bought the Penn Battle II. 1000 to trout fish, it will be my primary reel, & my Penn 4200 will be my backup. The Battle II is my 15th Penn reel.I love haw the Penn's last forever. My 1st was a Spinfisher 750, the forerunner to the 7500. I've had it 30 yrs or so and it still works as good as it did when it was new.

WORKHORSE

The only praise I need to write is this... I have a 2500 from the first year the BATTLE was introduced. I have done absolutely nothing to it and it still fishes like a dream. And I'm not a recreational fisherman. I fish 200 days a year professionally for smallmouth in a fast moving river from a canoe. My gear takes serious punishment. I NEVER worry about function from the Battles on my boat..

Great reels

I bought the smallest reel (1000) for light weight all day fishing with light line and leader 6#/8# Handled all bass, walleye and even pike. Also perfect weight for kayak/paddleboard fishing. Have not used the 3500 yet but expect will do well with heavier line/leader 20#/20#+ for redfish etc inshore/ nearshore. My fishing buddy has used 3500 for 2 saltwater trips with no complaints.
