Great ball for advanced players.

I must admit I am still breaking the ball in as it is genuine leather and comes hard and slick but I was surprised the ball came inflated. I have already noticed an improvement to the texture of the ball after only a couple uses and believe it will be perfect in about a month. Great ball for players who have time to break it in practicing before game use.

Excellent ball!

The ball came well packaged. I could tell immediately it was the real NBA Ball as soon as I smelled the fresh leather. Took the ball to the gym and started dribbling putting shots and noticed it still is new even 2 hours after playing. Played about 6 to 8 hours of ball with it so far. All indoors. It sounds so different when you dribble compared to other balls in the gym. I use a pump with a gauge for my PSI so I know I always have 8 PSI for genuine experience. When it tickles the twine it sounds different. I would definitely purchase this ball again depending on how long this ball will last me. The fact that it has a 2 month break in period is incredible. It overall feels good in the hands.

Great Basketball - Needs to be Broken In

This is the real deal in basketballs. Walmart has the best price around hence the 'good' value rating. The reason I didn't give it an 'excellent' on value is that you can get great basketballs for $30-$40 less by purchasing the Wilson Evolution, Spalding TF-1000, or the Nike Elite Competition. This ball takes some break-in time so you may feel that it isn't very good out of the box. However, as you play with it it gets better. I like the way it comes off the rim for a rebound and its dribble is nice. Again, it needs some break in time. As I play with the ball it meets my expectations more and more. If you are wondering what the real NBA ball is all about, Walmart is a great deal.
