I can't believe I found a brand new, exact match for one of my old dvd/vcr combo units. And for only $7... so of course I bought two of them. The weak link in all my old dvd/vcr combo units is always the dumb remote. And it's always just a few of the buttons that go out. I was a professional carpenter before "retiring" and owning a computer repair shop for 20 years. And now I'm "retired" again and restore old muscle cars. So yeah, I can fix just about anything. But remote controls are not an easy fix once the internals fail. And yeah, I could get universal remotes, but I really don't like them. I have dozens of old dvd/vcr's sitting on a shelf in my electronics room - it's always the remotes that go out. Everything else inside the units, I can pretty much fix, but the remotes are usually what sends the whole machine to the "i'll repair that down the road" shelf. Btw, I have thousands of vhs tapes and dvd's in my collection so finding new these remotes is super sweet. I'm sure I could have found these sooner, but I wasn't really looking. I have another shelf that is stacked with brand new, unopened dvd/vcr's. I bought a bunch years ago. They sell for $500-$1000 now, so I'm really glad I bought a bunch of them when they were $50. Anyway, I never really shop for new, matching, remotes for my broken dvd/vcr's because when one breaks, I just pull a new one out of the box and shelve the broken one. Since I found this remote, I'm going to start searching for new remotes for all my shelved units. I might be able to keep all this junk going another three decades. LOL
