A fantastic book

This book changed the way I eat. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn more about how food ends up on your plate and what you can do to eat in a more healthy manner.

This will make you think

This is an important book to read. Be prepared to feel that "ignorance is bliss". After reading certain passages I often found myself saying, "Ugh, I wish I didn't just learn that.". An amazing looking into where our food comes from and why it matters to have this knowledge.

Great book to get people to think...

I, honestly, thought some of the content is a bit vulgar, especially for my personal taste, but the overall objective of the book was to get our society to think about what they eat and how that impacts society: environmentally, socially and economically. Michael Pollan did a great job of evaluating our food's path from the ground to the table. Pollan's examination of the four meals has really gotten me to think about how I eat and has governed my choices of what I will eat today and the future.
