This was/is the Jim Henson version of Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol!" It's funny, %26 the musical interludes are great, too. I've always loved his Muffet's version of any %26 every movie I've seen. These movies are not just for kids. They are also made for adults, too. I'm looking forward to watching it again %26 again!

One of the Best Adaptations

Even though this is the Muppets, it is still one of the better adaptations of Stevenson's classic novel Treasure Island. It is not as dark as that work, of course, but still has the adventure and thrills and a fine score by the Hans Zimmer. It looks fine , including the widescreen version, though skim on the special features. This is a film kids and adults alike will find enjoyable. Highly recommended.
