I live in an apartment and I have to be very careful when hanging pictures pictures, drapery rods, etc so there is as little damage as possible. These are thicker for holes that have been warned down or for heavier things to hold. (Curtain, frame, mirrors) Worked well in a few holes that just has grown over the years from a standard anchor. They're sturdy and easy to use! Also comes with there own screws
