essie Nail Polish, Just Stitched

The second I saw the display at my local Target, I snatched up this collection and took it home. I was never really one for mattes, but I decided to give these a try, mostly because I'm a sucker for iridescent shades and I can always slap a topcoat on it if I want it to be slick and shiny. Swatches in descending order are: Spun in Luxe - be careful with this because it's one of those colors that can very easily pass for black Coat Couture - visibly has "dimension" and you can see the slight shimmer in it Comfy in Cashmere - lovely mocha brown that reminds me of hot chocolate. Almost has a purple undertone to it All Eyes on Nudes - a nice caramel/camel nude Just Stitched - another one that has visible dimension to it. A pink pearl color that almost looks like a strawberry milkshake. Probably my favorite in the collection Wrap Me Up - a creamy off-white that doesn't look like you painted your nails with white-out back in 3rd grade. Very classy. These all have a very matte finish. These are all 2-3 coats, fairly opaque, pretty happy with the pigmentation, and they're pretty true to the color you see in the bottle. Over all, interesting collection, and in this case different is good! If you're a fan of mattes, get ahold of this set. And if not, get it anyway. Try it and it might surprise you! They're lovely comfy colors in their own right.
